Drum Fertilizer Dryer

Drum dryer, also known as rotary dryer, is a widely used equipment for drying materials in industries such as chemical, mining, food, agriculture, and building materials. Its main function is to evaporate the moisture or solvent in the material through direct contact between high-temperature hot air and the material, achieving the purpose of drying. The drum dryer has the characteristics of large processing capacity, high drying efficiency, and strong adaptability, and is one of the important equipment in material drying and processing.

Equipment Structure And Composition

The structure of a drum dryer mainly consists of the following parts:
Drum body: The drum is the main body of the equipment, made of heat-resistant materials, and equipped with a lifting plate inside for lifting materials, increasing the contact area between materials and hot air, and improving drying efficiency.
Transmission device: including electric motor, reducer, gear, idler, etc., providing rotational power for the drum.
Inlet and outlet: The inlet is used for the entry of materials, and the outlet is used for the discharge of dried materials.
Heat source device: Provides hot air, common heat sources include coal, oil, gas, electric heating, etc.
Supporting device: including rolling rings and supporting wheels, supporting the drum body to ensure its stable rotation.
Sealing device: prevents hot air and material leakage, and improves thermal efficiency.
Control system: including temperature control, speed control, etc., to ensure the stability and efficiency of the drying process.

Working Principle

The working principle of a drum dryer is that the material enters the drum from the feeding port, and the drum rotates slowly under the action of the transmission device. Inside the drum, the material comes into full contact with high-temperature hot air, which evaporates the moisture in the material and achieves drying. The material inside the drum is lifted and then dropped by the lifting plate as the drum rotates, forming a rolling state, increasing the contact area between the material and the hot air, and improving the drying efficiency. The dried material is discharged from the discharge port, and the hot air is discharged through the exhaust treatment system.

Equipment Features

High drying efficiency: The drum dryer dries through direct contact, with high thermal efficiency, fast drying speed, and large processing capacity.
Strong adaptability: able to handle materials of various particle sizes and shapes, suitable for drying different types of materials.
Simple structure and easy maintenance: The drum dryer has a relatively simple structure and is easy to maintain and operate.
Multiple heat source options: Different heat sources can be selected according to actual conditions, such as coal, oil, gas, etc., to flexibly adapt to different energy conditions.
High energy consumption: The drying process of a drum dryer requires a large amount of energy, especially when dealing with large amounts of materials, resulting in high energy consumption.
Flexible operation: By adjusting parameters such as drum speed and hot air temperature, the drying degree can be controlled to meet the drying needs of different materials.
