Vertical Disc Mixer
Vertical mixer is a common material mixing equipment in industrial production, characterized by vertically arranged mixing containers, suitable for mixing various dry powders, wet materials, slurries, and high viscosity materials. Vertical mixers have a wide range of applications in industries such as chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and building materials, especially suitable for mixing small and medium batches of materials.
Equipment Structure And Composition
The structure of a vertical mixer mainly includes:
Mixing tank: vertically arranged, usually cylindrical in shape, with an opening at the top for feeding and possibly a discharge port or valve at the bottom.
Mixing device: including a mixing shaft and mixing blades installed on the shaft. There are various types of propeller blades, such as paddle, propeller, anchor, etc., to be selected based on material properties and mixing requirements.
Drive system: composed of a motor and a reducer, providing rotational power for the mixing shaft.
Sealing device: used to prevent material leakage and external air from entering, ensuring the sealing of the mixing process.
Control system: used to control the start, stop, mixing speed, and time parameters of the mixer.
Support and Rack: Provide stable support to ensure the stability of the equipment during the mixing process.
Working Principle
The working principle of a vertical mixer is based on the rotation of the mixing device inside the mixing tank, and the mixing of materials is carried out through the mixing blades:
Feed: The material is added through the opening at the top of the mixing tank.
Mixing: The motor drives the stirring shaft to rotate, and the stirring blades shear, roll, and diffuse the material during the rotation process, achieving uniform mixing of the material.
Discharge: The uniformly mixed material is discharged from the discharge port or discharge valve at the bottom of the mixing tank.
Equipment Features
Good mixing effect: The vertically arranged mixing tank and carefully designed mixing blades can effectively improve the uniformity of material mixing.
Wide applicability: capable of handling dry powder, wet materials, slurries, and high viscosity materials, suitable for various materials and industries.
Small footprint: Vertical layout saves space and is suitable for production environments with limited space.
Easy to clean: The vertical and open design of the mixing tank facilitates cleaning and maintains equipment hygiene.
Flexible operation: By adjusting the mixing speed and mixing time, it can adapt to the mixing needs of different materials.
